Business licenses are used in order to operate a business within the state, while commercial property permits are used to house business operations. Do I need a business to own property?
At this time, yes. The properties obtainable through the Department of State Commerce Bureau are commercial properties. Therefore, commercial properties are not obtainable without owning a business.
How hard is it to get a license?
As long as you follow the guidelines provided, you should have no problem obtaining a license for a business and property. The difficult part is operating a business on your own, so be sure you are up for the task before taking it on!
How long does it take to get a license?
We aim to keep all application decisions within the 48-hour mark. Sometimes, due to a high volume of applications, we may take longer. If you have not heard from the department after 48 hours, please reach out.
